FIRST UP!
The first step for potential homebuyers is to get a preapproval with your lender. Once you have your preapproval, you’ll know your price range and begin looking!
STEP TWO!
Next up for buyers is to make a list of wants/needs. You won’t find a “perfect house.” You may have to compromise on one item, but if the home is a better overall fit, that’s what is most important!
LET’S GO!
Begin looking at homes with your Realtor. Remember, you are the client—this is the biggest purchase of your life and you should be comfortable with that decision. ASK QUESTIONS! If you don’t understand the homebuying process or feel confused, speak up. Your Realtor should be able to walk you through each step of the process.

Tip #1
Prioritize repairs over upgrades. Upgrades can be great, but big ticket items such as the HVAC system, Roof, and Plumbing mean more to most buyers!
Tip #2
Get Professional Photography! Many Realtors will cover photography as an expense, but definitely insist on a professional. The listing photos are most often buyers’ first impression of your home. Having great pictures can bring in excited buyers!
Tip #3
Don’t wait to list your home! Even though the market has shifted a bit, inventory still remains lower than normal. Now is a perfect time to get buyers who are serious about purchasing their dream home!
